ABSTRACT
We present a case of inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor(IMT) of the bladder in a adolescence. This rare disorder may be initially misdiagnosed as malignancy. In IMT, unnecessary radical surgery should be avoided. We reviewed the clinical features and microscopic, ultrastructural, and immunohistochemical characteristics of IMT. The most appropriate management is conservative open surgery or transurethral resection with close long-term follow-up. (Korean J Uro-Oncol 2003;1:219-221)
