Abstract
Xanthogranulomatous epididymitis is a rare, chronic destructive inflammatory process. The pathological findings is typically lymphocyte and plasma cell infiltration, surrounded by accumulating lipid-laden macrophages. It is usually treated with surgical removal. We experienced a case of xanthogranulomatous epididymitis in a 66-year old man, who had bacteremia and bacteriuria of E.coli, and was cured by epididymectomy. (Korean J Uro-Oncol 2004;2:72-74)
