| ABSTRACT |
|
Collecting duct carcinoma is a rare type of renal cell carcinoma, which is originated from the collecting ducts of the kidney. It affects younger patients, and is associated with aggressive regional and distant spread. The typical histological appearance is duct-like or papillary architecture surrounded by desmoplastic stroma. Immunohistochemical identification of specific antigen is helpful for the differential diagnosis. We report a case of collecting duct renal cell carcinoma in a 30 year old female, which was treated with radical nephrectomy and immunochemotherapy. (Korean J Uro-Oncol 2006;4:34-36) |
